On November 22nd 2024, China’s Foreign minister has announced that in a trial to run from November 30th 2024 to December 31st 2025, China will double the 15-day visa free entry policy to 30 days for 38 eligible countries.
China’s previous 30-day visa free trial (a doubling of the previous 15-day visa free policy) for 38 countries, is now extended to 50 countries with an extended expiry date.
The visa-free policy is for people from the following countries, entering or transiting through China, for business or tourism purposes, or to visit family or friends, and short term study such as summer camp.
China’s 30-day visa-free entry policy is now extended to the following 50 countries. See below for details.
This is is now the same duration as a standard paid visa, saving you the trouble of getting a pricey visa.
This policy has an expiry date as follows:
For people from Brunei: No expiry date
For people from Russia: until December 31, 2027
Everyone else: until December 31, 2026.
Eligible entry purposes:
People with ordinary passports (ie, diplomatic passports are not included) from the countries listed below can enter China under this policy for the following purposes:
• Business
• Tourism
• Visiting friends and family
• Visits for educational or corporate information exchange
If you are visiting for another reason not covered by this policy, need to stay longer, or your passport is not from the list below, you will still need to get the appropriate visa from the official visa office in your country.

I know these messages are annoying, but please don’t skip this.
If you’ve read this far, please make a donation. I am not just another blogger soliciting donations.
Why I am asking:
People rush to help when someone suffers a sudden visible accident, because they want to be part of the rush of assistance. I didn’t suffer a sudden and visible accident like a shark victim, but I did suffer a permanent life-altering crisis, and I am still suffering.
My crisis happened suddenly, decades ago, when my life and future was robbed from me when I underwent intense cancer treatment for a late stage cancer as a three year old. I had no say in any of this.
The passage of time doesn’t make it better, in fact, it makes it worse. As a result of my cancer treatment, I now live with multiple permanent and degenerative disabilities and chronic medical conditions and have been long term unemployed, and live in an unsupportive household. To make matters worse, I was the victim of a scam, leaving me in complete ruin and unable to change my situation. I am stuck in a vicious cycle because I cannot seek a better environment to move to without money, and I can’t earn money with all my health problems, and I can’t seek treatment interstate or overseas without money. I make great efforts to create genuine, accurate and helpful content. I write all my articles personally, and take most of the photos on this website myself.
I started this website in 2015, back then it was a blog where I wrote about my trips, whether they were local outings or international trips when I could. My disabilities have made it dramatically more difficult to get around, but I have a wealth of practical travel knowledge that I want to share, so I am turning this site into an information site, so that travellers are armed with useful information about a destination before they go.
It takes me a long time to write these articles and to check they are factually correct, and it’s getting harder to get the motivation to even get out of bed.
Please donate to my personal fundraiser if you can, or share my fundraiser if you cannot. I wouldn’t be asking if I had other options, and if everyone pitched in, my goal can be achieved. You can read about me on my About page. Thank you.
